In the media outlet EcocNews, which covers news from cities designated as European Capitals of Culture, has published an article on how Lviv is bringing to life the ideas outlined in the city’s application for the title of European Capital of Culture 2030 — through projects, partnerships, and the role of culture in social processes.

The article covers the city program “Responsibility to Be” and the vision for culture in the city, the competition organized by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation in cooperation with Lviv, which continues and develops ideas about culture that “witnesses”, “cares” and “envisions”. Another topic is working on specific projects from Lviv’s application and, in fact, ideas that are already being implemented.

«“Responsibility to Be” changes forms and formats, but it is ongoing. It lies in culture’s ability to be sensitive to what modern people, communities and humankind are experiencing. It lies in the “cycle” of attention, care and gratitude — through relationships, action and interaction, right here and now».
