In order\nto conduct research on the cultural sphere of the city and to monitor the\nimplementation of the Strategy, the Cultural Strategy Institute conducts a\nsociological study,main purpose of which is to identify the cultural landscape\n– to identify the main actors who shape the cultural profile of Lviv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The very\nconcept of culture is very broad and has a number of ramifications and\ninterpretations, in order to study this phenomenon, first of all, it is\nnecessary to outline the main actors, in other words – the object of a study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At\npresent, no integrated base of the city\u2019s cultural actors has been formed in\nLviv, which would unite private, municipal, regional, national institutions and\ninitiatives operating in the city, and, accordingly, no comprehensive studies\nof this field have been carried out, since without such a base it is unknown\nwhom to explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By actors\nwe mean institutions that preserve and enhance cultural heritage, create a\ncultural product (tangible and\/or intangible) and\/or carry out an educational\nfunction in the cultural sphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ndatabase will function as an information catalog, as a tool for analysis\n(including spatial, resource, thematic), as a point of reference for further\nfocused research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nfollow-up of the study should be a monitoring of the implementation of the Lviv\nCulture Development Strategy 2025. Initial data collection began in 2019, and\nregular monitoring of the Strategy’s performance indicators in future should\ntake place every two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nresearch will consist of several parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1.\nFormation of a base of cultural actors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. A\nsociological survey of representatives of cultural institutions and initiatives\ninLviv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. A\nsociological survey of Lviv citizensabout their involvement in the cultural\nlife of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
