Already on November 4th the \u00abUkrainian Cross-Section\u00bb opens in Kaunas \u2014 the 5th triennial of contemporary Ukrainian art is taking place this tough year under the theme UKRAINE! UNMUTED. The \u00abUkrainian Cross-Section\u00bb will speak to the Lithuanian audience through art and performance, dialogues and discussions, word and emotion and \u2014 invites to unmute Ukraine for yourselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u00abUkrainian Cross-Section\u00bb will be opened at 16:00 by a performative component: <\/strong>these will be “short novels about the path” by performers Yuri Shtaida, Natalya Lisova, Vlodko Kaufman, Yaryna Shumska and Volodymyr Topiy. The official opening ceremony will begin at 18:00, which will be attended by the Ministers of Culture of Lithuania and Ukraine: Simonas Kairis and Oleksandr Tkachenko. The exhibition of the triennial includes 17 art projects: video, installations, objects, painting, graphics, performance and photography by 27 contemporary artists: <\/strong>Yana BACHYNSKA, Lia DOSTLIEVA and Andrii DOSTLIEV, Kostiantyn ZORKIN, Zhanna KADYROVA, Alevtina KAKHIDZE, Nikolay KARABINOVYCH, Myro KLOCHKO and Anatoliy TATARENKO, Sasha KURMAZ, Katya LIBKIND, Kateryna LYSOVENKO, Pavlo MAKOV, Sergiy PETLYUK, Viacheslav POLIAKOV, Andriy RACHINSKIY and Daniil REVKOVSKIY, FANTASTIC LITTLE SPLASH (Lera MALCHENKO and Oleksandr HANTS), Stanislav TURINA, Volodymyr KAUFMAN (project in cooperation with Maksym MAZUR, Serhiy SAVCHENKO, Yana KRYKUN, Sergiy RADKEVYCH, Natalka SHYMIN, Natalia LISOVA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next day, on November 5, the curators of the exhibition will conduct tours<\/strong> \u2014 in Ukrainian with a focus on those Ukrainians who fled to Kaunas, as well as in English for the general foreign public and media. So, note time and events!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
